Serving a mission together has always been a part of our life's plan. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways, and since we can never repay Him for what we have received, this is our small way of saying thanks.

Our family has been blessed with five remarkable children, two beautiful daughters-in-law, three awesome sons-in-law, and 15 delightful grandchildren. Family is a source of great joy for us.

We have both had the opportunity to serve in various church callings throughout our married life which has offered wonderful growth and learning experiences for us. Our lives have also been enriched through those callings by associating with amazing people who have become our dear friends. Neighbors, extended family, and friends from different time periods of our life are counted as some of our favorite blessings.

After graduating from BYU in music education, Carol taught elementary and middle school music in Jordan School District . The day our first child was born, she retired from public education and later started a private music studio at home where she taught piano lessons and Kindermusik. She retired after 40 years of teaching in her private studio on May 30, 2019, just in time to enter the MTC on June 3.

John graduated from Columbia College in business management, worked in information systems for 50 years, and finally retired on April 12, 2018. He enlisted in the UTARNG in August 1964, and retired from the military in December 1993 as Command Sergeant Major of the 300th Military Intelligence Brigade. It is because of his service in the Army that we are able to labor as Military Relations Missionaries in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
